Fair enough, I guess. Personally I think this issue is too important not to care. Certainly it's true that the Prez's opinion is the one that matters in this case. I just think he has the wrong one, and polling shows that 80% of Americans also disagree with him. As such, I'm not really sure who he's representing at this point. As others have said, it's not going to stop any research anywhere else, just > US funding of it. Yep. As a US citizen, this is something I really, really, really think my government should be funding. Extensively. There are other valid reasons as well - what if the Pres thinks that the > free market should handle this issue? Maybe he doesn't want to divert > funds > from the war on terror. There might be 100s of reasons tha he didn't sign > the bill. Those might be valid reasons, but from what I've heard, I don't think that W has purported his veto is in regards to any of them. What he DID do, was bring out a child who was a result of some sort of embryo adoption program. He also stated that he believes the research crosses a "moral line". So, it seems clear what the particular reasons are for his opinion....and I disagree with all of them. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Introducing the Fusion Authority Quarterly Update. 80 pages of hard-hitting, up-to-date ColdFusion information by your peers, delivered to your door four times a year. http://www.fusionauthority.com/quarterly Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/message.cfm/forumid:5/messageid:211516 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5
