No, the world has never been "with" Israel. The World have two basic modes: 1) tolerate Israel 2) try to destroy Israel.
Given any reason to justify the latter, they will jump on it. Devoid of that, they resort to the former. My point is that it was, is, and seemingly always will be, impossible for Israel to "line up allies" in order to take on a necessary fight against a terrorist regime. It just aint gonna happen...and to blame them for not trying to do so doesn't make much sense. Doesn't make their current course of action right, just debunks this idea that they could have somehow won world approval by waiting.
