I hope you're right but I fail to see anything that convinces me you are. Iraq is in civil war - I've heard figures of 1000 dead since July and it's getting worse. Even the Pentagon no longer makes any pretense about its ability to control it. At the Pentagon's own briefing, their prediction is full scale civil war unless something changes and Bush shows no signs of changing anything. A simple extrapolation says now is the time to leave or to ramp up in a huge way. If a change is not the US Marines will play wack-a-mole for the next 6 months until the moles grow into wolverines and then the wolverines grow into dragons. At that point, things come unglued, Bush pulls the troops, and all is lost in Iraq. I've heard or seen nothing to indicate a counter trend. And, sadly, it's what everybody said, save a few deluded Neo-Cons, before a single boot hit the ground: you can win the war, but you can't win the peace. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Introducing the Fusion Authority Quarterly Update. 80 pages of hard-hitting, up-to-date ColdFusion information by your peers, delivered to your door four times a year. http://www.fusionauthority.com/quarterly Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/message.cfm/messageid:212807 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5
