Which is why we shouldn't have invaded in the first place. Isolate,
bomb, but don't invade. Bush's father was smart enough to know that.

The failure of this administration was making decisions based on faith
rather than facts. The talking point <whine> "but everybody thought
...."</whine> is total crap. You don't invade a country because you
think maybe, possibly, might be.

The concept of invading Iraq was based on 3 delusional concepts:

(1.) Lock down the country? Don't worry! The US military is so
strong that they can do anything; Even things we've not trained them
to do like nation-building and controlling 1000s of square miles of
border with 1 soldier.

(2.) Build infrastructure? Don't worry! We'll be rolling in oil
money and Halliburton will be more than glad to build everything for a
piece of it.

(3.) Create a democracy? Don't worry! Everybody rally around the US
and will love their new freedom. They'll all sit in peace circles
while they vote.

It's a classic failure of analysis. It's business 101: gather data,
analyze data, make decisions based on facts.

That didn't happen here. Instead it went like this: get intoxicated
with a fantasy, gather/skew/make up data to support it, tell all your
buddies how faithful you are and call it leadership no matter the data
to the contrary.

What you're seeing here is ENRON Redux: a fantasy, wrapped in
bullshit, surrounded by sycophants.

Ken Lay died saying he made all the right decisions and so will Bush.
Sadly they were both wrong.
