First we define the subjects that are core required subjects:

Science
Math
English
Whatever

Then we define the subjects that are Electives:

Shop
Second Languages
Philosophy/Religion
Home Econ
Whatever

Then we make a curriculum based on this.

Even science that *is* a buncha hooey belongs in science class.
Religion, hooey or not, still belongs in it's own class too.
