I have problems with mine too. Mine is caused arthritic inflammation and the
only thing that helps is ibuprofen and getting off my feet. The inflammation
is usually triggered when I stand to long on a hard surface. I've had the
problem for years now. My doctor has told me there is a surgical procedure
that can help but my pain level is manageable now and not worth the risks.
As a benefit though I get out of all kinds of things I like to avoid anyway,
like trips to the mall and grocery shopping.

I found this page that lists exercises that are supposed to help. I've been
thru months of physiotherapy and it didn't do squat for me. Getting off my
feet are the only things that help.

YMMV,
Duane

Subject: Sciatica anyone?

Anyone on this list ever had a problem with their sciatic nerve? I've been
in a reasonable amount of pain since last weekend, and my symptoms seem to
support sciatica. Do I need to see a doc for this? Should the pain start to
subside reasonably soon? Will it repair itself? Should I try to stay off of
it, or exercise it out?

I've read the articles....lookin' for real life experience.

Thanks

BG
