That's much worse than calling someone a liberal elitist. It also proves how useless labels are for most people. I can't accept all the definitions for any one label so I must take a little from each. I'm actually much more social liberal than social conservative but it's still too much socialism involved for me to claim to be a member.
As for the marriage issue: I'm for 100% equal rights through civil unions. I also support the right of people to recognize the definition of marriage as a union between a man and a woman.
