That's disengenuous. 

He was held for two years before he saw a lawyer and three years total before 
being charged with a crime. He was only ever actually charged because someone 
took an interest and got it on the Supreme Court Docket, where it was sure to 
be a big slap in the face to the administration.

I am sure that you have the resources to do this if necessary, so you're right, 
why worry :/
