As for sound, I don't use HDMI for sound, I have an optical connection from the cable box to the receiver. The HDMI connection is only for video.
As for better quality, I don't notice a difference, however there isn't any broadcast 1080p yet so it is hard to say. I most used it there because the cable box had the connector, and I needed the component for other things. > -----Original Message----- > From: G Money [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: Wednesday, December 13, 2006 8:38 AM > To: CF-Community > Subject: Re: HDMI switch suggestions > > Nick, > > Do you get better picture/sound quality from your cable box with HDMI > vs. > component? > ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Create robust enterprise, web RIAs.
