Hey, I'm not talking about what kind of governor he was, that has nothing whatsoever to do with this discussion... the point is we did not see wild race riots, lawsuits, smear campaigns based on his race, etc. that you describe. Whether he won or not has nothing to do with it. >I don't belive that America is the enlightened, forward thinking place >that we'd like to believe it is, at least when it comes to race relations. I never said it was...but neither is it as horribly backwards as you are describing. >When I mean lawsuits, I mean the same kind of thing that happened after >the 2000 (2004?) election when Bush won the college but didn't win the >popular vote. People suing for recounts, claims of voter impropriety etc. Well, you're assuming that any election would even be that close again, since obviously such arguments would have little credence otherwise. If it *was* that close, then guess America wouldn't be so backwards about race then, huh? --- Mary Jo ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Create robust enterprise, web RIAs.
