I guess I disagree with both of you.

The taxes involved has never been a deciding factor in my desire to grow
financially.

How I take the compensation and what I do with it has, but making more money
and therefore paying more taxes overall has not.

If it did, I would still be making 9K per year - no taxes at all!

It is not a disincentive for me - but it might be an incentive to get more
involved politically.
