I disagree. As several people have already pointed out, reducing emissions
has positive effects even in the unlikely event that they in fact are
unrelated to global warning.

And by the way I just bought a 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer, which is ok on gas at
34. I was driving an old Honda CRX before that that was getting in the 50s,
but it kept having problems with its lights, which was getting me endlessly
pulled over. I am going to find it a nice home with someone that enjoys
tinkering with their car.

I tried taking the bus for a while, but it's really not an option with the
train/carpool scenario I have going right now. I was spending over $30 a day
on taxi fare and three hours each way on commuting, most of it due to a
poorly planned bus system. If I am going to spend that much money on
transportation I may as well spend it on something that will save me some
time.
