::shrug:: I can take on any mountain around here at 80mph and still have
plenty of power. La Bajada is on my commute if I drive all the way in to
work in Santa Fe instead of taking the train, which I did today as I have to
run an errand up here. This stretch of I-25 climbs about 2000 feet in about
a mile. No problem. So you don't necessarily need all that horse power
unless for a working vehicle that constant tows horses or something. IMHO.
