Maybe that's because they're the only people making the right choices?
What's the savings rate in this country again? 0.01% Yet Japan has a
20% savings rate. Are they just so much richer than us? Their
government just so much more generous with, say, redistributing
Toyota's money? Or is it that their middle class is more disciplined
with spending?

In order to convince me there was a problem you'd have to show me that
50% of people in these sob stories are making good career, investment,
and financial choices, but still can't manage to save.

Because back to making $1M/yr selling coffee. Maybe people don't
*want* to do that, but they *could*.
