They run all the normal desktop apps and use Entourage as a front end to exchange. Some of them need access to AppleScript apps that provide different data views to a backend IMS/MVS mainframe. Of course there's lots of ways to provide that data but, in this case, it can be rapid development due to screen scraping. In other cases there is AppleScript that scrapes data into an RDBMS and then a CF instance that runs on OSX (since it's just a Java app) that serves out all kinds of web apps with the data.
