This thing totally kicks arse! E.g., it wakes from sleep in under a
second usually, has a lit keyboard that adjusts to ambient lighting,
and ...

I'm running Parallels with Vista Ultimate - it runs both OSs at once!
The windows task bar on the bottom and the mac on the top. You could
add XP, Linux, whatever and run them all at the same time. They run
seamlessly together - it's amazing. I've used Virtual PC in the past
and it sucked, but this is nothing like it: it's actually 2 OSs
running independently. It's super cool.

So you're thinking performance would suck; but it doesn't! I've ran
multiple apps like office, browsers, etc on both OSs with no problem
whatsoever. That being said I don't run things like Photoshop so I
dunno how that would be although I've heard it's ok, but who knows.

I've got the 2.1ghz dual core CPU and 2gb of mem. I can go up to 3gb
and will when the 2gb modules come out (didn't see any out there, but
maybe I missed them). No problems thus far though. Maybe I'll try
the Vista jump drive trick ... just thought of that ... but it's all
academic because I'm ok so far. Don't know how they do it, but it
works ...

Anyway the laptop is super awesome.

The downsides I've seen so far: battery life is not as good as my
beloved iBook 13"; but that doesn't surprise me with the larger
screen, bluetooth etc. I'd estimate 4-5 hours at full power which is
how I run it. I'll try it with DVDs this fall when I got to Europe.
I've got the airplane power adapter so hopefully my flight will have
power and I won't have to worry.
