Here is the text as it is written on the bill of rights:

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free
State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be
infringed.

So, A well regulated militia, and the right of the people to keep and
bear arms shall not be infringed.

The amendment doesn't claim you have to be in the militia to keep and
bear arms. The militia is called from the people of the state in time of
need. And they may need to bring their own guns.
