British Sailors Captured: Day 1:
"it reminds me of the USS Pueblo, Gary Powers," or Monica Lewinski, Deny
Everything, Deny Everything. You still have the dress? wtf. You have
Gary Powers in custody? wtf? The USS Pueblo was just patrolling South
Korean waters, it is not a spy boat and it was not in North Korean
waters! You have the Crypto machine from the boat? wtf?

I don't understand the west's immediate assumption that the Brit's are
100% innocent. They've been caught in Iranian waters before. There
seems to be conflicting reports as to their exact location. The UN
isn't claiming the Brit's were in Iraqi waters. At this time the
Iranians are not using the captives as bargaining chips in a trade for
prisoners, removal of sanctions or anything else. They just want the
Brits to admit trespassing, something that for reasons we don't yet know
the sailors seem to be willing to admit. I'm not saying either side is
right. I'd just like more facts. It would not surprise me at all to
find out the Brits were indeed trespassing. I don't see what the
Iranians would hope to gain by taking them from Iraqi waters. Especially
being they don't seem to be trying to get anything out of the
situation. The flip side is the Republican Guard does tend to do what
they want, with or without governmental approval. That tends to back
the leaders into a corner whereby they have to stand by the action of
the Republican Guard or admit there are differing factions and the
government leadership isn't in complete control.
