Good points. 

as far as Imus goes, I pretty much agree with you. He has apologized and he 
should shut up now. On the other hand, I've never listened to the guy, but if 
he is as described he's part of something that really bugs me -- the 
degeneration of public discourse into name-calling. 

I am thinking that this is or at least *should* no longer be about Imus. If 
it's offensive and people don't understand why perhaps the offended parties 
should explain why instead of calling racist, which is just another name? All I 
know is that I personally am pretty tired of the bitch/ho thing.

In the same way, I think the Attorney Generals firing brouhaha is less about 
the guys who got fired than it is about Gonzales. I think people want him to 
resign because of everything, not just because of the jobs of some political 
appointees.
