Oh, come on, if we really cared about other countries and people we'd be in Darfur. Let's look at the reasons behind Iraq: (1.) Al Quaeda. Nope, none there, nor was there ever a shred of credible evidence saying so. (2.) WMD. Nope, If we're really concerned about that we'd be crawling all over Russia and Eastern Europe snapping up scientists and enriched Uranium (like Kerry advocated I should add). There were some who were erring on the side of caution, but we had no facts only supposition. (3.) State sponsor of terrorism. Nope, Hussein may have tossed some money at a few groups here and there, but he wasn't at the top of the list. Iraq was/is certainly behind the entries for Iran and North Korea. (4.) Muslim extremism. Nope, Hussein was secular. (5.) Oil. Hmmmm ... if we owned Iraq's oil infrastructure, or at least secured it, we'd be WAY less vulnerable to price changes and manipulation of foreign governments. We'd essentially have a domestic energy supply which is one BIG thing we lack. So you see? The big error wasn't that we thought they had WMD, it was that we thought they had a solid oil infrastructure. They didn't. Oops. That $800 Billion would've bought A LOT of oil and those dead Americans would've produced at lot of stuff; including more Americans. What a tragedy. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Upgrade to Adobe ColdFusion MX7 Experience Flex 2 & MX7 integration & create powerful cross-platform RIAs http://www.adobe.com/products/coldfusion/flex2/?sdid=RVJQ Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/message.cfm/messageid:234527 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5
