I guess "boombox" is misleading ... that's their name for the product, but
it's more of a small desktop radio-type thing. I just measured mine and it
comes in at about 18" wide by 7" high. As for hooking it into your
soundcard, I don't believe the model I have can do that ... but newer models
might. There is a connector for headphones on the front. However, I'd put
the speakers on this thing up against my home theater system any day,
they're that good.

Yes, similar in the sense that it's streaming audio through your computer.
Every XM subscriber gets automatic access to *almost* all the XM channels
(and some that you won't hear anywhere BUT online) via their Web site. If
you have system resource issues now, that will be a concern here as well ...
I use it as opposed to other online music services just because I'm an XM
addict!

Now I'm getting the itch to see what other devices are available ... like I
said it's been a year or so (or more maybe) since I bought these and I'm
sure there's something better out there by now.
