Ah, man, I'm very sorry to hear that.  It was almost exactly a year
ago that we lost our scotty.  I dunno, some people don't seem to get
it, but for me that dog was family.   I basically couldn't work for 5
days.

Anyway, very sorry for your loss, but he's going to a better place and
it's best to take care of it with each other in my opinion.

My dog died of congestive heart failure which amounted to her lungs
slowly filling up with fluid until she suffocated.  Unfortunately the
day it happened I didn't bring her to the vet early enough - I don't
know if she could've been helped even so, but I sure felt guilty.  I
just thought she was hot and had no idea of her condition.

Hang in there, and know he's going to a better place, but will always
be there with ya.
