Well... We got our money back :)

What also helped was the fact that the repair did not last 24 hours.  When 
I got there Friday night, with the bike not working, I started to be loud 
to let the other customers in the bike section know I was pissed at the 
fraud committed by the store.  That got the attention of a few people, 
including the manager.  Needless to say, got the bike fixed and the $32 back.
