I went almost the entire first grade answering to "dent de lion", which
means dandelion. My teacher was an ancient nun and I was terrified of her
and her ruler lol. I finally got the courage to tell her and she was
actually very nice about it and apologized. Hehe. If you want to hear a name
get mangled, try living in a French-speaking environment when your first
name is Danalyn. It just looks wrong and comes out sounding like a chemical
to a French speaker. This is also approximately the reception it gets from
Spanish speakers in New Mexico. Too many y's.

Actually though, I am willing to bet that everyone here would mispronouce my
name if they met me in person. I found this to be true at MAX (with the
possible exception of Ben Doom, not sure). And you, Doom, be quiet ;)
