I don't live in SF already :) but it's a well-known gotcha that the
cost of living is higher in the locations where the work is and vice
versa. So far (granted I have not read the shiny book) it sounds a bit
glib, kind of an oversimpification. And it looks to me like it takes
the lower end disproportionately.
