And...... As far as features, I look for only a few:
Create a play list Shuffle either songs, entire albums or play lists Album Art (makes it easier to see who I am loading up while driving since I know what each of my CD's covers look like) Seamless integration with computer (iTunes is very mature and works flawlessly for me) iPod does all this (I know that the Zune does too, but I don't need bells and whistles, just an MP3/video player) And as Zaphod said, it is not Microsoft. Having to use their software is bad enough (except Office 2007, they hit a home run on this one), and I have had some pretty shitty experiences with their keyboards, mice and joy sticks. I am NOT going to lay out over $200.00 for something else that is going to shit on me based by my previous experience with their other hardware. And since I am in the market for a new head unit, iPod wins again. There are several head units that seamlessly integrate with the iPod (I am not talking about the cassette doohickey I now have or the thing that sticks out of my utility outlet and plays through an available station). I am talking about direct interface via USB or plug in. So far, the Alpine iDA-X001 looks promising. Very good reviews. And again I have to keep looking at the fact that the Zune is an MS product.
