Ferraro simply made the mistake of saying in more plain language what the
Clinton campaign has been saying all along - that Obama seems to be above
scrutiny...except that Ferraro finished the sentence out loud whereas the
Clinton people leave it to the listener to finish the sentence.

If Obama becomes the candidate, race will be one of those 'untouchable but
unavoidable' topics.
