Since when is going into hawk up to your eyeballs such that one unforeseen event could ruin you libertarian? That's so liberal it's radical. If the Chinese wanted to, right now, they could start selling dollars which would cause economic calamity in the US for months, years, or forever. The fed would have no choice but to raise rates stratospherically which would sink us into a depression or worse. In short, through stupid LIBERAL policy we've put our economic security into Chinese hands. Here's the perfect storm: terrorists attack the homeland, an Iraqi civil war offensive ties down our troops, and the Chinese start selling dollars. If that happened you would not like life in America.
