Well THAT's going a little far ... But I do like diesel. Why? Because it depends on what problem you're trying to solve. If you're trying to solve the problem of US dependence on foreign petroleum, then diesel is the fastest lowest cost path to that solution. If you're trying to solve the marketing problem of making Americans think that "conservation" is cool, then hybrids work.
