Sometimes I really hate people...well, most of the time, really. It's not that I hate people inherently or naturally, it just seems like every time I turn around, they just give me another reason to hate them more and more.
Case in point: people who let their dogs sh*t on my lawn and then casually walk away, as if this is an OK thing to do. More than once I have stepped right into a pile of poop while mowing the front yard, and it is really the most annoying, disgusting thing to have to deal with on a 90+ degree day. I live in a pretty nice neighborhood, and every summer, it seems like there is some kind of unadvertised competition to see who can have the most green, lush, thick lawn. When I walk my dog, I see piles everywhere, a couple feet off the sidewalk. I have never seen any signs of any sort, which leads me to believe that homeowners around me just tolerate it. Why people seem to put up with this behavior is beyond me. I am certainly NOT the type of person that looks the other way when something bothers me. So the question is, how do I handle this? I've looked at the yard signs, and some are cute and friendly, but I abhor the idea of having to put at least two signs in front of my house that a) makes me look like an ogre, and b) makes my yard look like a dog park. Yet I don't really see any other solution, since I rarely catch anyone in the act, and even if I did, I know that I lack the "tact" that would allow me to handle the situation with dignity when confronted face-to-face with the phantom pooper-non-scooper. I also don't want to be "that angry guy" in the neighborhood, possibly subjecting myself and/or my home to random eggings or vandalism. I actually saw a girl letting her dog do this to a neighbors lawn about 10 houses down while driving back home today. I waited for her to walk by my house, but it seems she must have taken a detour after I glared at her out the windshield... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Adobe® ColdFusion® 8 software 8 is the most important and dramatic release to date Get the Free Trial http://ad.doubleclick.net/clk;192386516;25150098;k Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/message.cfm/messageid:258238 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5
