It's not a state rights issue.

The way states rights is SUPPOSED to work is that they can legislate on 
anything not specifically allocated to the federal government, as per 
the 10th amendment.  In this case, the INDIVIDUAL RIGHT to keep and BEAR 
  arms allocates that a protected status that the states will now be 
unable to legislate on without a constitutional amendment, one that will 
never find enough support to pass.

I'm going to read the opinion later to find out the specifics, but from 
what I've read so far this is really going to change everything as it 
pertains to gun ownership and carry laws in the US.
