McCain is clearly not George Bush. The attempts by the Obama people to paint him as George Bush haven't stuck because people aren't stupid and they know McCain's political past. "More of the same" isn't what McCain represents. You think McCain will have Dick Cheney (or Joe Biden) whispering in his ear all the time? No. John McCain doesn't need an experienced hand as Veep because he is experienced himself.
Speaking of which, how does Joe Biden represent change? He is a big-time Washington insider, way more establishment than McCain.
