Now that you mention, my worst experience ever on a flight involved sitting behind 3 young children, maybe 10 years old down to maybe 5....being shipped from their mom in Texas to their Dad in KC. They absolutely BAWLED for the first half of the flight....the kind of painful wailing that penetrates you, ya know? The flight attendants were great and eventually got the children calmed down. The kids told the attendants they didn't want to go visit their dad because their dad "hurt them and was mean to them." The oldest kid later said this was not true, just something they said because they didn't want to leave their mom......
