Here's where we differ, Gruss. For me, any religious institution is colored and shaped by those people who are in charge.
The Rabbi and Rebbetzin of my shul are people I really look up to. They're the reason I stay with the congregation... Every shul has its politics. But if my Rabbi started spouting baseless hatred and racism the way Wright does, I would walk out in a minute. I would not stay with such an institution because I feel that such a shadow tarnishes me personally. I certainly would not have that person marry me. Michael and I were married by a Rabbi we look up to tremendously, who has been a close friend of the family for years, and is one of our mentors. You'll always find politics in any institution. But this is not politics - this is pure evil.
