Michael is a very vocal proponent of the interests of Israel and I have seen what appears to me to be anger at those who appear to ignore the plight of jews in Israel and elsewhere, anger at those who equivocate the actions of Isreali's in the West Bank with Palestinian suicide bombers, etc. I don't always agree with his points on those issues, but I can understand the frustration and anger. We are talking about people dying, about people who say they want to exterminate an entire race of people you connect yourself with. Blacks in America have the same issues. They are frustrated and angry and dealing with people dying, dealing with unreasonable hatred and fear. If you don't see the parallels, you don't. But I think they are closer than you might otherwise want to believe. > In truth, Michael's community is you guys -- he works tirelessly for > the advancement of ColdFusion and ColdFusion programmers. > > And I could never, ever admire someone like Reverend Wright. I do appreciate the work he has done, not the least of which includes this mailing list. I think that you may be blinded to the extent of Rev. Wright's character however. He is not all about victimization. Far from it, the philosphy of his church was heavily invested with the notion of community, self reliance and the fundamental strength of a people to stand up for themselves and create their own destiny. Yeah, I don't agree with some of the stuff he said, but I think that a lot of people have taken a rather narrow and particular view of the man. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Adobe® ColdFusion® 8 software 8 is the most important and dramatic release to date Get the Free Trial http://ad.doubleclick.net/clk;207172674;29440083;f Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/message.cfm/messageid:276811 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5
