Let's levelset:

(A.) You're charging that "the media" (which you're not defining) is
not properly investigating things they should.

(B.) I'm suggesting that the media should certainly question the
candidates, their backgrounds, et al, but if there is no hard evidence
of a charge or suspecion then continuing to report on it is
irresponsible (beyond mentioning others are concerned by it).

So let's use-case something and see which is closer to the truth: Ayers.

Question: Is there hard evidence to suggest that Obama's association
with Mr. Ayers is anything other than social and/or work that would be
within the bounds of reason.

Answer: no.

"the media" as judged by the NYT has investigated and found no hard
evidence of anything other than random work-related events.

Further, if your suggestion is that if only the NYT would further
investigate they would uncover all types of undefined nefarious
activities, then I'm suggesting that we already know the answer to
this question: no, they'd discover nothing.

Why? Because there are 100s or 1000s of stakeholders that have likely
(99.9% probability) investigated this issue and - since it's not been
reported - found zero.

Therefore the assertion that the media should continue to investigate is false.

Again - unless you're telling me you think other stakeholders haven't
investigated this. Like Fox, like Drudge, like Hillary Clinton, Like
McCain.

In fact I bet it's pretty hard to hire a PI in Chicago right now
because they're all combing meeting minutes looking for whatever it is
you're alleging.

What are you alleging, btw?
