No. Robert's claim is that the MSM is giving Obama a pass on, for example, Ayers; his feeling is that, for example, the NYT is not investigating Obama's association with Ayers as they should. I am both disagreeing with him, and then proving him wrong. (1.) The disagreement. If any of the MSM is giving Obama a pass it'd be the NYT right? So let's see what they've done. A simple search turns up many NYT articles on Ayers including this one: http://www.nytimes.com/2008/10/04/us/politics/04ayers.htm Which appeared on the page A1 of the NYT on Oct 4th. So they've at least prominently acknowledged it. But is it just a fluff piece or are the facts as presented in this article which essentially concludes that there's no "there" there. (2.) The Proof. This proof requires the use of probability as circumstantial evidence. The question is whether the NYT's prominent acknowledgement of Ayers is fluff or the result of due-diligent investigative journalism. I contend the latter. Why? Because I'm asserting that likely 100s of stakeholders in the 2008 presidential election have all investigated the Ayers connection and come up with not-a. Examples of these stakeholders would be Hillary Clinton, Drudge, Fox News, McCain, et al. and all of them would be extremely well funded. Thus if we agree that these stakeholders had the means and motive to launch extensive investigations, then we have to conclude that the NYT has discovered the same thing or, at a minimum, missed nothing important. If they had we'd have heard. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Adobe® ColdFusion® 8 software 8 is the most important and dramatic release to date Get the Free Trial http://ad.doubleclick.net/clk;207172674;29440083;f Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/message.cfm/messageid:276945 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5
