I just hear it so often, its usually a generational thing - it starts happening
in the 30's to 40's. the person starts to perceive kids as rude, disrespectful
and as the "enemy."

Mind you I have seen thorough asses under the age of 20, but usually its the
same proportion as asses over the age of 40. At the same time I've seen a lot
of kids who are energetic, respectful, enthusiastic and are reasonably
intelligent. Unlike you I do not think its age related, there are just jerks
all over the place, you just notice the younger ones.

The comment I made about the Sumerian scribe is that your complaints are
eternal. That piece was one of the oldest bits of writing found. The
Babylonians, Greeks, Romans, ancient Chinese, etc. all have writings that same
the same thing - kids are disrepectful, spoiled rotten, have atrocious manners
etc. I suspect that Ogg the first cave man made the same set of complaints
about Nogg his teenaged son. If you could travel 10,000 years into the future,
you'd probably hear (or whatever) the same set of complaints. In other words
get over it and relax, instead of looking at the bad crap, look at the other
kids who are volunteering to help at daycares, senior centers or political
campaigns. To quote the Who "The Kids Are Alright."
