Maybe. But if I remember correctly, the peace corp was voluntary. Meals on
wheels is voluntary. There are kids who do their own form of national
service because they feel its the right thing to do. These kids may be
penalized (in time or whatever) if their volunteer work is not considered
the proper service by the government.

And I'm still a big proponent of good roll models, setting good examples,
for good results. In other words, people acting right to show kids how to be
right. And parents being parents. And a lesson to teach kids who misuse the
word "fuck" on how to use it and when. It doesn't replace a period in a
sentence. Grammar, grammar, grammar.
