Let's take this a step further....there never should have been a mandatory evacuation. In fact, I can't think of a situation where there should EVER be a mandatory evacuation. If people want to stay and die in their homes...that's their right. Of course, they should not expect any government rescue should they somehow survive.
I liked the warning the gov issued about the recent hurricane in galveston...if you are going to stay, write your SSN on your arm so we can easily identify your body. That would have gotten my attention!
