I agree, but common sense can be a little difficult to come by in
discussions of Americans and guns. I would say that common sense
dictates that people shouldn't have assault rifles in the home. I do
understand the argument for having one during an invasion of the
country or overwhelming disturbance in the country that causes public
safety to be totally absent. But in those situations, I'd want to have
mortars and rocket launchers too.

I don't think we should ban all guns. I like guns. And I agree that
people will find ways to kill each other no matter what. But I also
know that we have a gun violence problem in the United States and that
we need to do something about it. Banning guns isn't the answer, but
yeah, we need some common sense approaches to teh problem.
