I treat MP3 players as disposable electronics. I buy the cheapest I can find and use it until it wears out. Then I buy another. Currently, I have a Nextar 1GB player that resembles a thumb drive. I have had it over a year and paid around $15 for it. I have had several before this one that were not as durable as this one.
