Neither of any of these guys have been "discredited" since neither of
them ever governed or were given full power to govern.

I'm simply pointing out - and this is 2 decades away from reading Marx
- that his ideas seem to be exactly where we find ourselves today.

In other words, Marx was way ahead of his time.

If I remember correctly, Marx had high praise for capitalism; he felt
it was a perfect model to transform economies.

His problem with it was that he was afraid that the wealthy would
become entrenched, would essentially buy off the government, and would
turn into oligarchical oppressors.

That's exactly what we *had* prior to this election - and maybe still have.

In other words, had Bush stayed in office he would have proven Marx a seer.

If Obama doesn't change the trend, same outcome.
