And the state that they're in has a law (a dumb law, but a law nonetheless) that non-profits incorporated there cannot discriminate. The law must have sounded so good when it was being proposed: there was probably talk about how this would keep evil bigots from hoarding resources from people they didn't like. The position was clear: "If you're for equality then you MUST support this bill!" And it's a stupid law... just like the dumbass amendments to "protect the traditional family", the stupid "academic freedom" bills being proposed across the country and the "Patriot Act"... To me this really has nothing to do with Gay Marriage - it has to do with a questionable law that allows political opponents to "stick it" to one another. Church, gays, Klan, NAACP - it doesn't really matter WHO'S involved here: the law is saying "if you run a business you have to cater to those you hate." I disagree with that (on so many levels)... but at the same time I still find it somehow sweetly ironic that a community that is being legally discriminated against is using the law to its clear advantage.
