Because he was appointed by a crooked creep who tainted the appointment
process (and therefore his appointments are suspect of that corruption)

I don't think he will get seated. It is too good a grandstand for the rest
of the senators to say "we hate corruption, look at us". And for the repubs,
it delays seating another dem. And the repubs are still hoping to force a
special election where they can try to steal the seat.
