Elections alone are not enough. Hamas did not respect the democratic
institutions of the PA. They are an outlaw organization, according to the
PA's own laws. But Fatah doesn't have the military power to enforce the law,
so PA rule remains divided.


And that broader point is that a bunch of people can vote for a

As you have argued in the past, the Sunni Awakening has as much to do with
the success in Iraq as anything. That is an Iraqi movement. You contitnue to
ignore reality in your ideologically driven quest to oppose anything and
everything associated with Bush. How sad for you.
