Reading this doesn't surprise me.

That Israel used wp rounds doesn't surprise me. The use of wp is not a war
crime in and of itself.

That Israel would "admit" it, and launch an investigation doesn't surprise
me. It is what any reasonable government would do. Very different than the
Hamas-led Palestinian government in Gaza, yes? Can you imagine an
investigation into, say, which Hamas government-backed fighters were firing
from hospitals and schools and mosques (a clearer war crime)

That the Guardian would report it doesn't suprise me. They definitely lean
towards the Palestinian side in all of these conflicts. (but, I have to
admit, I was suprised that they report it pretty well)

That you would leap from "could be guilty" (Amnesty) to "admits to war
crime" does surprise me a little. Trolling for a response, or have you
convicted them already?

If it turns out that Israel used wp munitions on civilian population,
without good evidence and danger from fighters in the immediate area, then
they should be prosecuted. Not assumed to be guilty, but investigated
further, and if it turns out that the shells were fired on purpose, or in
error, or off target, or with complete disregard for "collateral damage",
then something should be done.

And, truthfully, I think it will be.
