Tax problems are routine among all classes of people. Approximately 38% of the tax returns filed have serious errors, and close to 80% have some kind of error. Errors of the kind found on Daschle's return are extremely common. I'd bet a gold dollar that I could find at least a small error on the tax returns of any self-employed person who itemized deductions or filed a Schedule C.
I gotta wonder about all the people who are squealing about these people being tax cheats. I'd like to ask them a few questions about their returns. For instance, if your accountant does your return, do you then check every single item and calculation, or do you just sign on the line and mail it? If the later, you're as guilty as they are if your return is wrong. On Tue, Feb 3, 2009 at 9:48 PM, Judah McAuley <[email protected]> wrote: > > He nominated people with tax problems.
