His ability to speak clearly was magnified by the current president's
inability to do so. Think about it, the ability to be a slick speaker was
almost a GIVEN before George Bush...ALL politicians were slick speakers. But
now, after Bush, suddenly, what was once common, now seems gloriously
refreshing!

It's amazing.

His grand ideas and visions were mostly pie in the sky.....there wasn't
really a lot of concrete underneath them. But we didn't care. Because of
where we were as a country, "pie in the sky" was exactly what we wanted to
hear......thanks to the most un "pie in the sky" prez in recent memory.

A large number of people who had already been united in their
dislike/distrust of Bush...all they needed was a leader.........enter Obama.

I certainly agree, Obama has a LOT going for him without Bush's or anyone
else's help....but only George Bush had the power to turn Obama's one true
weakness....experience....into an asset. And that put him over the top.

Obama is not elected president in 2008 without GWB....maybe in 2016, but
it's more of a longshot at that point.
