Yes, but this was different. Obama didn't have to "construct" a candidate that was a polar opposite of Bush......he didn't have to make promises or policies that set him apart from Bush.
Just by speaking and being himself....he was the epitome of "different".........he was "change" before he ever even uttered the word. I think that's what makes this situation unique from the others.
